Diminishing oil reserves, fewer new oil field discoveries, Middle East conflicts, increasing demand and climate change, among other factors, are well-documented scenarios that are spurring a worldwide race to come up with alternative energy solutions—from green fuels to green power generation. Currently, there's no shortage of ideas or companies developing technologies to supply the world's clean energy needs.

Why Novus will make fossil fuels positively prehistoric.

Today, renewable energy is mainstream energy. A range of green fuel production technologies are being deployed or are under development, with varying efficiencies and costs—the most notable being corn ethanol. Other production processes—cellulosic ethanol, biodiesel from vegetable oils, biomass GTL (Gas-to-Liquid), and standard GTL—all have drawbacks. Conversely, the Novus Energy® RGL™ process offers a strategic advantage due to its technical superiority over most other biofuel production technologies. But of perhaps more importance down the road is Novus Energy’s exceptionally clean, green technology. Here are some of the eco-friendly advantages of the Novus system:
Most organic waste is suitable for the Novus RGL process, including crop waste, animal manure, municipal waste, landfill, biomass energy crops, and aquaculture, reducing these unwanted waste products, much of which currently ends up being dumped on agricultural land or in landfills where it releases greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, and/or pollutes water resources |
Locating Novus RGL facilities at the source of the waste mitigates the environmental impact of greenhouse gas emissions caused by transporting feedstocks long distances |
Odorless, pathogen-free organic fertilizer is a valuable byproduct of the bio-digestion process, as an alternative to fossil fuel-derived chemical fertilizers |
The Novus RGL process is greenhouse gas-neutral. By bio-digesting waste feedstock in sealed tanks, the RGL method extracts and sequesters the two primary greenhouse gases—C02 and methane—and uses them as feedstock for fuel-grade alcohols |
The anaerobic bio-digestion process used to generate biogas mitigates air and water pollution and is the most cost-effective method to clean up organic pollutants in wastewater |
