John D. Offerman, President & CTO
John Offerman has over 25 years of experience in business development, scientific instrumentation, marketing and sales for the analytical chemistry and biotechnology industries. Prior to his co-founding of Novus Energy, Mr. Offerman served as CEO of National BioSciences, Inc., one of the largest global manufacturers of DNA. In addition to co-designing and commercializing an integrated technology to mass-produce biologically active DNA from organic precursor chemicals, he co-created and marketed the leading software product for the computer design of synthetic DNA sequences for a variety of biotechnology applications. Mr. Offerman has also served on the board of several technology organizations, including Minnesota Technology (MTI), the Minnesota Biotechnology Association (MNBIO), and the Governor’s Council on Technology Transfer at the University of Minnesota. Until the founding of Novus Energy® in 2004, he consulted emerging technology companies for business development and capital formation. |

John R. Benitez
John Benitez brings legal and business experience to the Novus Energy Board of Governors. Mr. Benitez is currently an attorney with the Denver Law Firm, Moye-White, LLP representing corporate and entrepreneurial clients in varied facets of business law, commercial real estate, international law, intellectual property licensing, and litigation. Mr. Benitez is also the founder of Benitez Investments, LLC, which focuses on real estate and energy investments.
Mr. Benitez' career includes serving as a professional staff member in the United States Senate, and working in the U.S. House of Representatives. Prior to his legal career, he served as Director of Government Affairs and Manager of Uranium Sales for Rocky Mountain Energy Company (a subsidiary of Union Pacific Corporation), as State Government Affairs Coordinator for Babcock and Wilcox Corporation, with oversight responsibility for 23 states, as counsel to the Colorado Baseball Commission, and as a board member and president of the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame. |

Paul Zecchi
Paul J. Zecchi is President and CEO of Central Resources, Inc., which he founded in 1988. Central Resources, Inc. is an independent oil and gas producing and operating company based in Denver, Colorado. He has presided over acquisitions and divestitures totaling over $300 million, including the company's successful overseas expansion. Prior to Central Resources, Mr. Zecchi was President of Midland Resources, Inc, where he cultivated growth of the company from one well in 1984 to 500 wells in 1988. Midland acquired and managed 7 limited partnerships with over 3,500 partners and made 14 acquisitions of oil and gas properties totaling over $30 million. Mr. Zecchi is the former President of the Independent Petroleum Association of Mountain States and Secretary/Treasurer of the International Association of Drilling Contractors. |

Robert Kepple
Robert Kepple is a farmer and an active investor in agribusiness. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of a Minnesota corn ethanol plant operating in southern Minnesota, is a director of an Iowa biodiesel production facility and is on the board for a Midwest ethanol distribution company. He also farms 2,000 acres of corn and soybeans in Greene, Iowa. Mr. Kepple advises Novus on pricing strategy, operations and distribution agreements. His working relationship with major U.S. ethanol distributors and buyers is invaluable in developing markets for Novus Energy. |

Charles R. Wood
Charles R. Wood is President and Chief Executive Officer of Terra Investors, Inc., a private, closely held investment company that has invested in Novus Energy, LLC. From 1989 to February 2000, Mr. Wood served as Senior Vice President of Data Transmission Network Corporation (previously NASDAQ: DTLN) and President of DTN Financial Services. DTN is an information technology company that delivers time-sensitive information (agricultural commodities market data, publicly traded securities prices, petroleum prices, real-time weather reports, et al) via satellite and the Internet. Prior to that, Mr. Wood served as co-founder and President of AGRI-associates, Inc. and was instrumental in establishing offices throughout North America and Europe that specialize in recruiting personnel for senior management and technical positions in agriculturally related industries. Mr. Wood also served on the Board of Directors of SmartServ Online, Inc. (previously NASDAQ: SSRV) from 1999 to 2004. Mr. Wood is a graduate of Iowa State University and currently is a Governor of the Iowa State University Foundation. He serves as a member of the Foundation’s investment committee, which is responsible for overseeing about $550 million in investment pools. |

Edward Adelson
Edward Adelson is a major investor in Novus Energy, LLC, and recently assisted in researching algae production for application to Novus Energy’s biodigester systems. Since 1970, Mr. Adelson has operated his own retail businesses, including international trade between France and the U.S. From 1981 through 2000, he operated retail outlets in Aspen, CO. and invested in land. Mr. Adelson received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Northern Michigan University. |
